Online Courses

All courses are available online. Courses must be paid for in full before the course can be started. All online courses, materials, tasks and certificates are accessed through the International Open Academy Virtual Campus. The course must be activated within 12 months of registration on our website. Each course is valid for 60 days from the date of course activation. Courses must be completed 100% (all pages saved), and a minimum score of 55% per Module is required to complete the course and obtain a certificate. If a Module is failed, there is one free resit per exam task until a 55% score is achieved. After successfully completing the course and passing the exams, students can validate their knowledge with high-quality and affordable accreditation options. The certificates and transcripts they receive are internationally recognized, and can increase the students' market value, while also visibly acknowledging their achievements.

Accreditation

We are a recognised member of The CPD Certification Service, meaning that some of our courses are approved for continued professional development (CPD/CE points). We are in the process of having all our courses assessed.

Our courses are accredited by the International Council for Online Educational Standards (www.icoes.org). ICOES is the international accrediting body responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the educational standards of online teaching institutions. Our courses are accredited by the International Council for Online Educational Standards (www.icoes.org). This assures our users that our courses meet the highest standards for online education.

On successful course completion, users also have the option to order an ICOES Certificate (verification, printing and postage fees apply).

For details, please visit https://internationalopenacademy.com/accreditation.

Subscriptions

  • The International Open Academy offers three different types of subscription plans that users may elect to purchase:
    • a monthly payment plan
    • an annual payment plan
    • a one-time payment, which grants unlimited access for up to ten years
  • All purchases are made in the currency and at a price displayed when you order, including any indirect taxes.
  • The International Open Academy reserves the right to add or change the types of subscriptions available and to vary the content and types of service it makes available to different categories of subscribers at any time.
  • The price to be paid for each subscription service will be made clear on the order page. When you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay the fees stated at the time of your purchase and any processing or associated fees charged by the issuing bank/payment provider. Any increases to subscription costs will be made clear to subscribers well in advance, as well as an opportunity to opt-out of the service if they choose.
  • Submitting payment and completing the order forms constitutes a contract for the services stated in the subscription plan and indicates that you know all terms. Once payment is verified and accepted by us, the contract is initiated, and you will be provided with access to your subscription.
  • Unless expressly stated in any offer or promotion, your plan is set automatically on auto renewal when a subscription order is placed. The auto-renewal payment option is the default. Users can cancel the subscription if they do not wish to have the payment automatically renewed.
  • Unless stated in any offer or promotion, the account owner can cancel a subscription anytime. This can be done by logging into your account and clicking the Cancel My Subscription option in Manage Subscriptions. Cancellation must occur before the next payment is due, or the subscriber will be charged for a subsequent billing period.
  • At its discretion, the International Open Academy may terminate or suspend access to and/or use of a subscription at any time with or without cause by delivering notice to the account owner. These termination rights are in addition to all other rights and remedies available to the International Open Academy under these Terms or by law.

The user may still receive important communication from the International Open Academy customer support team.

In addition, the user agrees to receive communication from our customer support team relevant to their account use and overall user experience. These include, but are not limited to, essential updates related to user security, technical glitches, and system functions, responses to user inquiries, reminders of expirations on courses, subscriptions, or other products, notices of holiday hours, and occasional checks to ensure the user is satisfied (can be in the form of an email or survey). All communication sent by us is done with the intent to improve the user experience, relay important information, and keep users abreast of our new developments.

Privacy Policy

Safeguarding users' privacy and the security of personal information is important to us. Our server is fully secure at all times, and we take all available measures to ensure that confidential information entrusted to us remains private and intact. We will never sell personal information or any information that can be linked to a user, to any third-party marketers or solicitors. All the user information will be used per the International Open Academy’s Privacy Policy and comply with the laws of the governing jurisdiction.

User Data

Any information we collect is used to improve the International Open Academy services, products, and overall user experience. When users visit and interact with our site, we collect two types of information: personal data and non-personal data. Personal data is typically recorded when users apply for a course or purchase a product. More detailed personal information may be recorded through participation by users in surveys, promotions, offers, queries, requests for information or forums. Non-personal data is information that is not connected with identity and is routinely gathered through the tracking of statistics and analysis of the traffic to our site and the interest shown while visiting our site. We guarantee that we protect all information recorded, either personal or non-personal, using stringent security measures and industry best practices. You agree to use cookies to help manage your preferences by visiting our website with cookies enabled.

When a payment is made to us, every step is taken to protect the information provided, including card/bank details and personal contact information. The International Open Academy does not collect or store any payment details, i.e. credit or debit card details. All payment transactions are securely done through Paypal or Shopify, our payment gateways. We continually review and update our payment systems to ensure security technology is up to date.

By using internationalopenacademy.com, you consent to our terms and conditions and the recording of personal and non-personal information to be used exclusively by the International Open Academy.

Refund Policy

  • We understand that sometimes a course, service, or product may not meet your expectations. Therefore, we offer refunds within 14 days of purchase, subject to the following conditions:
1- If you have not started the course, you are entitled to a cash refund within the 14-day period.
2- If you have started the course, did not complete it, or are not satisfied, we will issue a refund in the form of a gift card within the 14-day period.
  • If you complete the course or the 14-day period has elapsed, we are unable to issue a refund. Please note that the above refund policy complies with the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU (CRD)
  • If a course, product, or service was purchased or part-purchased through a third party or using a voucher issued by a third party, you must contact the issuer directly to enquire about their refund policy.
  • Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. This is because when you purchase a subscription to the Site and Services, you are purchasing an ongoing rolling subscription with periodic billing of the subscription fees. Each time you pay the subscription fees, you agree to roll over your existing subscription into the next billing period. You can stop making payments for your subscription at any time, but you will not receive a refund for any subscription fees already paid.
  • Annual or lifetime subscription plans are limited to a seven-day refund period from the day of purchase. After these seven days, we are unable to refund your charge. However, you are still able to cancel your subscription auto-renewal. If you are on a yearly plan, you will continue to have benefits until your expiration date.
  • Due to their instantaneous nature, these products are non-refundable: Proof of Completion Letter, Proof of Enrollment Letter, Certificate of Achievement, Result Breakdown Transcript, eBooks, Toolkits, lesson plans, and activities.
  • Documents issued in PDF format by the organizations that accredit our courses are non-refundable. These include the ICOES Digital Certificate and the CPD Digital Certificate.
