    Most of our courses will earn you credits through Continuing Education (CE) / Continuing Professional Development (CPD). CE/CPD points are accepted and recognized by professional member bodies and academic institutions across the US and internationally.

    All courses are accredited by the International Council for Online Educational Standards (www.icoes.org). When successfully completing a course, students can choose to purchase an ICOES certificate that recognizes the achievement, from this third-party institution.

    With 25 years of teaching experience and an MA as a Literacy Specialist from Columbia University, I support children in their literacy learning in a one-on-one setting from my home in Kensington, MD. I support children with literacy work such as reading comprehension, fluency, vocabulary development, spelling, writing skills, and phonics. I also can provide advanced academic enrichment for children who are in need of additional academic challenges in reading and writing.

    While my teaching experience has been in DC area independent elementary schools, I am trained to teach children through eighth grade and am comfortable working with high school students, as well. I also have an MA in Elementary Education from American University and a BA in Psychology from Vassar College.
