    Most of our courses will earn you credits through Continuing Education (CE) / Continuing Professional Development (CPD). CE/CPD points are accepted and recognized by professional member bodies and academic institutions across the US and internationally.

    All courses are accredited by the International Council for Online Educational Standards (www.icoes.org). When successfully completing a course, students can choose to purchase an ICOES certificate that recognizes the achievement, from this third-party institution.

    Ian has been educating and working in animal welfare for many years. With a Master's degree in Teaching, he is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA). He is also a certified instructor for Pet CPR and first aid, an AKC-Certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and a Professional Premium member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. He is owner and head instructor at Simpawtico Dog Training, LLC, and is the Canine Behavior and Training Manager for his local shelter. He lives with his wife, four dogs, and one cat in upstate New York.
